About Rabbit Holes

Rabbit Holes is where the humans meet: communities full of real people's experiences, questions and answers — anonymous behind rabbit names, European by design, without ads or tracking.

We are part of the world, not walled off from it

We have no interest in isolating Europe. Shutting ourselves off from everything foreign would be its own kind of poverty — we want the whole world's links, videos, ideas and arguments in here, and people from everywhere reading them.

What we do object to

Two things. Being dependent on American or other foreign tech for the parts that matter — and having to accept the way that tech treats people's data as the price of admission.

So the machinery underneath is European and stays European: the servers, the AI, the databases, the payments. Not because the rest of the world is unwelcome, but because your conversations should live under European law and nobody else's.

Why videos ask for one extra click

Share a YouTube link here and you will see a picture with a play button, not a player. That picture is ours: we fetched it once from our own servers and re-hosted it here.

Nothing whatsoever reaches YouTube until you press play. Most sites embed the player straight away, which quietly reports you to Google before you have decided to watch anything. One click seemed a fair price for that not happening. Then it plays, right here on the page.

This is the human half of GDPRchat, the European AI chat. Your GDPRchat account is the key to both: AI answers on one side, real people on the other.
